This page shows plots of the papers per ref author distribution from 27 collections of papers covering various subjects. The papers were collected from ISI's Web of Science product in the period from January 2002 to December 2003 by using queries and seed references. The x axis is X = numbero of times cited. The y axis is percentage of reference authors cited X times. The red lines are Yule distributions calculated by finding alpha, the probability that a ref author will be new ref author, as the number ref authors divided by the number of ref authorships.
